Surgical Assistant - Full Time

Job description

Tri-State Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is a same day surgery center providing oral surgery care to patients under IV anesthesia. We have offices located in Hebron, KY and Cold Spring, KY. Each patient is cared for by the doctor, nurse and an assistant(s). The assistant's primary responsibilities are completing health histories for patients, assisting surgeon during surgery, monitoring recovery of patients, and reviewing post-op instructions. We are looking for a motivated, caring individual interested in a team oriented environment. Prior experience in a surgical setting is preferred but not required.

Hours: Monday-Friday 7:30am-4pm (32-40 hrs)

Salary: $18-25/hour

Training requirements

• Completion of dental assistant or surgical assistant training

• Certified to take X-Rays

• BLS Certification - We offer bi-annual recertification

• Dental assisting experience: 1 year (Preferred, not required)

• Sedation: 1 year (Preferred, not required)
